MORNING PRAYER

Faith Prayer

Catholic Women Pray

‘The Family that Prays together stays together’. We Catholics hear this saying quite often. It  emphasizes the importance of prayer in our Catholic Christian life. Our day  should start with the morning prayer where all are made to get up at certain time and say a prayer that also include Angeles, thus invite divine blessing on the family. The practice of morning prayer has lost its importance over the years. Though it is taught in catechism classes soon it is forgotten by our children and parents do not enforce it on their children  at home. The fact is parents themselves do  not practice it. Let us not forget, if a day is started with good prayer its benefits last through the day and a daily practice of it bring in God’s grace upon the family and our women in the household can take an active part in it.

The importance of morning prayer can be summed up as under:

                          1) Morning prayer is  important because you meet God before meeting the devil.
                           2) You meet God before meeting the circumstances of life.
                           3) You talk to God before talking to men.
                           4) Communicate with God before your fellowship with others.
                           5) You hear news from Heaven before receiving news from the earth.
                           6) You sit before God before sitting in front of men.
                           7) You kneel before God so that you don’t have to bow before men.
                           8) You honor God before honoring men.
                           9) You enter the presence of God, before entering the presence of Men.
                           10) You nourish your Spirit before feeding your body.
                           11) You call Jesus before calling all the other little names in the world.
                           12) You look at Jesus Christ before looking at yourself in the mirror.
                           13) Sweep your heart of impurities before sweeping your house.

Prayer is a powerful weapon, this weapon is in our hands and its power is in our mouth so, let us get up and use this power to endow us with the power from above.
